I got excited for just a minute when I saw Rankin County clean up!!
I thought some of the less than effective Rankin County deputies were out the door, along with some of the elected members of the county government.....
But now I see it's just picking up the garbage day.

excellent suggestion! Reservoir patrol "law enforcement" (wait, now THAT's an oxymoron!) should he required when passing by Reservoir parks to stop, get out, and pick up trash on their "beat." Goodness knows they aren't doing anything better!
I mean, really, what exactly do they do?! The county and city deputies and police on the 5 county Reservoir areas actually enforce the law...what do these people do? Whittle them down to 3 or 4 and have patrol the water perhaps...otherwise, they ride the coattails of the 5 county Rez' city and county law enforcement.

What a stupid suggestion. The Reservoir Patrol do an excellent job enforcing the law. They are usually the first on scene at an incident, backed up on this side by the Rankin County SO who also do a great job.
They use prison labour to pick up trash and they ensure all the parks are used correctly.
I for one do not want my law enforcement officers to pick up trash, but I do want the law enforced without fear or favour.

REALLY? When? Ever tried saying that while standing in front of a mirror and holding a straight face? They have already said they can't stop speeding because they cannot have radar guns. Which almost sounds kinda 3rd grade.
And I'm surprised at the number of badge wearin' gun toten' deputies that cannot read or understand the printed word. Example? Next time you pass the courthouse, notice how mmany deputies are smoking RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE SIGN that says NO SMOKING WITHIN 25 FT. OF BUILDING.
