Loves To Paint

Quick, how many of you remember your high school art teacher's name?

Buddy Pendergrass remembers his - and says he had a major impact on him and the paintings he loves to create.

In fact he often thinks back on Mr. Box at Pearl High School and wonders what he would think of the portraits that he creates today.

Probably a safe bet that he'd approve.

Buddy lives at The Rez and works as an accountant for a local business.  He is married and has two sons ages 6 (just started the first grade) and 9 months.

A busy schedule for sure, but there is usually time for a session with the paint and brush.

He uses a variety of media including ink, water color and egg tempera.  A favorite technique is creating portraits that look as though they were taken with an old pinhole camera.

He often works from "spur of the moment" photographs in order to capture the true emotion of a moment.

Buddy does commissions, let him capture a memory for you.

Check out more samples of his work at his Facebook page HERE
