Food Court Surprise

A recycled video from last year - but worth watching again.

Imagine, if you will.

You're  Christmas shopping at a crowded mall and decide to stop at the food court to grab a bite and rest your feet. The piano player ends a bland performance of Jingle Bells and the murmur of the crowd continues unaccompanied.

An organ begins to play, a young lady stands up and begins singing.

The voice of an angel, perhaps?

A spontaneous voice answers her from across the way, then another, and another.

That happened at Welland, Ontario's Seaway Mall recently and a video of the event has, as they say, gone viral.

The young lady that starts things off is Stephanie Tritchew, 22, a student at the University of Western Ontario's Don Wright Faculty of Music, her musical partners, about 100 of them, are members of Chorus Niagra.

The music is Handel's Messiah.

This is one of my all time favorite flash mob videos. I still know the alto part!
