Ridgeland, Miss. – Four fun-filled days. KidFest! Ridgeland, presented by M&F Bank, promises to deliver more fun and flexibility than ever before with new attractions and the return of some crowd favorites!

The City of Ridgeland Department of Recreation & Parks and M&F Bank will host KidFest! Ridgeland for four days over two weekends (April 6-7 and April 14-15). As always KidFest! Ridgeland will feature a variety of shows, interactive activities and lots of other attractions which are all included in the price of admission.

NEW THIS YEAR, Gator Boys Alligator Wrestling! Gator Boy, Jimmy Riffle, has been described as the World’s Best Alligator Wrestler. You may have seen his new TV show, Gator Boys, on Animal Planet. Watch him subdue fully grown alligators while risking life and limb. Meet and talk with him after each show.

ALSO NEW for 2012, Sea Lion Splash is the only traveling, self-contained sea lion show in the world. The show brings out the inherent comedic behavior of sea lions. They catch and retrieve objects, do handstands, balance, dance, sing and interact with the audience. The show also provides an educational experience on the habits and nature of sea lions.

America’s Got Talent finalists, The Fearless Flores Family, return Saturday, April 14 and Sunday, April 15 with their daredevil stunts that impressed the judges and America on NBC TV’s hit show, America’s Got Talent.

You can meet Nick Jr.’s Dora of Dora the Explorer Friday, April 6 – Saturday, April 7, and SpongeBob SquarePants of Nickelodeon’s hit animated show SpongeBob SquarePants Saturday, April 14 – Sunday, April 15 at Freedom Ridge Park.

Help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Berenstain Bears by coming to KidFest! Ridgeland to meet Brother Bear and Sister Bear.

The City of Ridgeland’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held during KidFest! Ridgeland on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7. Check the schedule online at for hunt times.

The Cowboy Monkey Rodeo will appear Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7 and is sure to entertain children and adults of all ages as white-faced capuchin monkeys ride border collies while herding sheep into a pen. Cowboy Monkey Rodeo was named Major League Baseball’s 2009 Promotion of the Year.

Also NEW THIS YEAR, Mutts Gone Nuts is a fast-paced canine thrill show with the classic appeal of a circus style comedy dog act. Spreading the message of animal rescue and responsible pet ownership, Mutts Gone Nuts is a show that will tickle your funny bone, warm your heart and leave you howlin’ for more.

Children and adult festival guests will have the opportunity to dress up as frogs, fish, mushrooms or rainbow twirlers and be the featured performers for The Nylon Zoo.

Following a trip to The Nylon Zoo, take a ride on the carousel, a train, a pony or a carnival ride. Also, don’t miss the chance to view the world’s smallest horse, only at KidFest! Ridgeland.

The Temporary Tattoo booth is always a festival favorite, as children get their faces, arms and legs decorated with festival designs. With Kid Karaoke, children can perform their favorite songs on a kid-sized stage. Robert Day, a Mississippi magician, will show families how to perform magic tricks at The Magic Tent.

Children can use their imagination and creativity to become clowns and ringmasters at the Hat Making booth.

For boys and girls of all ages Touch-A-Truck will have the opportunity to be up close and personal with large trucks and equipment provided by the Ridgeland Department of Recreation & Parks.
