Spillway History

Some history to start the week.

First, an update - we've added a link to the sidebar, (just under the Facebook Badge), that will consolidate all The Rez history posts with just one click.  Try it, click Rez History and then scroll through the many articles we've posted.  When you reach the bottom of the page click  "older post" to go to the next series.

This picture below is an aerial photo of the spillway construction.  Probably taken sometime in 1962.  The photo is looking in a easterly direction.  The 10 gates that control the flow through the spillway can be seen laying on the ground in the lower left of the photo.  The left side of the photo would be the main lake area and the to the right would be the spillway flow into the river.

Rez News covers many local stories better than other media. The history and public interest items are enjoyed and appreciated. Good job.
