Chili Cook Off Coming Up!

As a member of the Flowood Rotary Club, this one hits close to home.  On Thursday, December 6, 2012, the City of Flowood will hold its annual Grand Lighting of the Christmas Lights at Winner's Circle Park.  The lighting will take place at 5:30 p.m.

In addition to the the activities, festivities, and nativities, the City of Flowood, the Flowood Chamber of Commerce, and the Flowood Rotary Club will be hosting a Chili Cook Off, benefiting the charities sponsored by the Rotary Club.  There is no entry fee; anybody with an awesome chili recipe is encouraged to form a team to compete.  Set up begins at noon at the park.  Judging takes place at 5:00 p.m.

Contact the Flowood Chamber of Commerce at 601.932.8007 to enter your team in the cook-off.

Rotary International, among other things, is at the forefront of eradicating polio throughout the world.  The local Club meets every Tuesday at noon at Table 100.  We are passing out dictionaries to local third graders, we are raising funds for the Salvation Army, we are rolling up our sleeves in the community.  All those motivated by serving others are encouraged to join us.  Take part in an organization that means something.
