The Rusty Shed

A curious new business called the Rusty Shed recently opened.  Antiques, crafts, and gifts, which in and of themselves are not novel; however, throw in estate sales, do-it-yourself pottery, a true local farmer's market (not a produce stand), and wrap it in a quaint setting in downtown Brandon, then, you have piqued my curiosity.

For example, beginning March 1, 2013, The Rusty Shed is encouraging local farmers to sell their homegrown produce in the empty lot beside the storefront.  $10 a day for a 10 x 10 area.

They are open Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Saturdays, they are open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  They are located immediately behind Brandon Green Floral.

Sounds great! I'll be by there soon & check it out. The produce area should really take off this spring. We are always lamenting the lack of easy access to local, home-grown produce in that general area.
