East Metro Corridor Commission

There will be a ribbon cutting for the first phase of the East Metro Corridor on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 11 a.m.  Joe McGee Construction Company is even hosting a fish fry immediately afterwards.  The announcement from the Flowood Chamber did not specify an exact location, though I bet money it will be near the Dogwood Mall access point.

The Metro Parkway.....A.K.A. the road to no where.

I Love the hills the road cuts through and the view coming down toward Lakeland is very nice. It's great that the terrain wasn't flattened by developers. (so far anyway)I'm really looking forward to the day that this 4 lane connects to Crossgates Blvd & I-20. I know the residents of Cooper Rd are thrilled to get traffic diverted off their Rd. I do wish the name of the road was a little more creative too. East Metro is bland, sounds like a politician named it.

How about the Charlie Ross Blvd

Clayton Smith Hwy

Lums Road

PLEASE... No more naming streets after unknown people. It is so awkward to tell someone to "go down Hugh Ward" and a stranger gives you a funny look.
