Master Plan Survey Thoughts

I took the Master Plan Survey.  To my disappointment, there was little concern for zoning and/or regulation of land usage on PRVWSD property.  Rather, the survey seemed trivial, with topics like whether more drinking fountains should be installed at area parks.  I would like to see more substance inserted into the survey, i.e., how should the PRVWSD use existing land for future commercial development, or what are some ways the PRV could generate additional revenue.  I hope to be able to make the May 13, 2013, meeting at Northwest Rankin Middle School (6 p.m.), to discuss community input on the Master Plan.

For those who also took the survey, what are your thoughts?

Any news on the new RV park the PRV wants to put in by the Y?

I know nothing. I can tell you this, though, the lengthy waiting list for a spot at Timberlake would certainly make it worth looking into.

Come on! Do we really want another RV park next to an area where children play? Timberlake campers aren't camping they are roosting. We don't need another campground, we need control over the one we have where people don't "hog" the spaces by the water indefinitely. Great place for transients and sexual predators next to the "Y" where all the kids are. This is the only large free space on this side of the Rez where the locals can recreate. But, right, when was the Rez ever about the people who pay the most to be here.

Amen, 5:27. I bet if the parents of the kids in after-school care and summer camp at the Y knew what the PRV was planning they would raise five kinds of hell about it. Soccer would be gone, too. If there are problems with not enough space at the other park then there are two viable options for the PRV: raise the rent and limit the time folks can park.

Why don't they try to put a RV park on the Madison side?

Never RV's on the Madison side because those residents want to keep their property values up but put it on the Rankin side because they think we don't know any better.

Troy, don't you live in Millcreek?

Yes. The survey has questions specific to leaseholders, but also questions for those that frequently use prvwsd lands. The survey asks early on for you to identify where you live.
