Proposed Usage Permits for the PRVWSD

The PRVWSD holds its monthly Board of Directors meeting this Thursday, July 18, at 9:30 a.m., at PRVSWD headquarters.  Last meeting, among the papers handed out to the attendees, was a document entitled "Usage Permit -- outline".  One of the ideas batted around recently by the District in order to better regulate use of its property, and to generate revenue, is to charge usage fees through a permit system. Attached hereto is said "Usage Permit -- outline", which I take as a written brainstorm of the PRVWSD.  A brief explanation by the PRVWSD is contained in the latest Gator Tales (posted above).

Also attached, as the second page, are proposed projects to be funded by said permit fees.

What are your thoughts?

I'm all for everyone that uses it contributing to its upkeep. The problem with the current proposal is that leaseholders with boats will get hit multiple times...and the one boat per leaseholder won't work for many-especially those that have waterfront property. Needs to be a person or household pass.
