Glory!

Thanks to the rubberneckers, traffic was at a standstill on Old Fannin Road after work this afternoon.  However, it was worth it when I saw the glorious shiny black asphalt layer.  This.Is.Progress.  Just in time for school to start.

I wonder how much it would cost to buy a billboard at each end of Old Fannin advertising that it is quicker to go over to High Ward instead of waiting in the construction traffic on Old Fannin. Do you think we could get any of the straight shot commuters going from Lakeland to Spillway or vice versa to take the alternate route and relieve the traffic on those of us who live on Old Fannin and CAN'T take alternate routes?

Now let's see if they do it right for the other side and keep at least 3 lanes open for the duration of that side. ;)

Hopefully no red lights.... Round a bouts instead...

Round abouts A.K.A. circle jerks are for people in England who drive on the wrong side of the road.

Old Fannin is deadly enough as it is without roundabouts...
