Activities for This Weekend

Okay, lots going on., and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Demo Days at the Mississippi Craft Center.  Artists start demonstrating their skills at 10 a.m.  All weekend.

How about the Affordable Care Jubilee!  Held at the Hinds-Jackson Comprehensive Health Center, beginning at 1 p.m. today (Friday).  Get all your questions answered by folks who know what's going on with Obamacare, like Cong. Bennie Thompson.  Fun times.

An evening with Leo Kottke, at Duling Hall tonight (Friday), beginning at 8 a.m.

NWR Softball Team's Garage Sale at the Highschool. Starts at 7 a.m. on Saturday.

There is also a Fund Run for the Girls, sponsored by Kinkades in Ridgeland.  Starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday at Kinkades Fine Clothing.

Brandon Craft Fair at the Nativity Lutheran Church in Brandon.  It's sort of a big deal.  Starts at 9 a.m.

Chapel of the Cross A Day in the Country in Madison is all day Saturday.  5K run starts early, festivities continue all day.  Awesome festival (so long as the rain holds off).

The Mississippi State Fair is going on all weekend.  Opens at 10 a.m., I believe.

Nichols Boyd Pumpkin Patch tours start at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. on Sundays.

Had enough of the Government Shutdown and want to get out of town.  Head to the Downtown Vicksburg Fall Festival.  Live music, sidewalk vendors, shopping, food, etc.   Saturday.
