Fit To Lead 5K Costumed Race Photos.

Organized foot races were once (in the not-too-distant-past) an anomaly in the Reservoir area.  Now, they are regularly scheduled.  The Flowood YMCA just held its big race of the year, the Fit to Lead 5K. Turnout, even for a cold, cold morning, was good.  In addition to the 5K run, there is also a 5K walk, a 1 mile run run for 12 and younger, and a kids triathlon.  Results and photographs from the Halloween themed, costumed race are found at this link.

More races are coming up.  This weekend, Community Bank put together a 5K run/walk to benefit the Little Lighthouse.  Registration form here.  The race starts at 8 a.m. at the Dogwood Branch of Community Bank.

To close out the year, there is also a Hearts of Compassion race in Ridgeland that morning.
A Titan Tech 5K in Ridgeland on 11/16;
A Glow Run in Brandon on 11/21
A Strides for Seizures 5K in Liberty Park, Flowood on 11/23
