PRVWSD's New Rankin County Office

The PRVWSD recently opened a Rankin County satellite office.  It's located in the old Bank Plus building next to Polk's Drugs, at 1864 Spillway Road.  The purpose of the office is to better serve Rankin County leaseholders. According to General Manager John Sigman, water, sewer, and lease payments can be made at that office. Further, building permits and code enforcement issues will be handled there.  Future plans for the building include a drive-thru window for convenience.  The hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. to accommodate after-hours payments.

I never found the old office all that inconvenient. How much money was spent to open this new office?

I don't know the amounts spent. I could be wrong, but I believe the main reason for the Rankin satellite office was to better accommodate the home inspection requirements generated by the new ordinance passed by the Rankin County Board of Supervisors. The vast majority of homes on PRVWSD leasehold land are in Rankin County. The District may be thinking of moving the entire building inspection operation to the Rankin County side for convenience. My two cents.
