Goat Killed

So, someone killed one of the goats on goat island.  Nice.

Story from WJTV below.

WJTV News Channel 12

For almost a decade two goats have called an island on the Ross Barnett Reservoir their home.

Authorities never officially approved their presence but since there's never been any trouble - they stayed.

But now one of the goats is dead and a child is accused in the killing.

"I was saddened by it because it takes away from all that the reservoir has to offer. A little piece is gone and it made me mad that parents don't watch their kids this close to allow them to do this," Chris Campbell, President of the Forest Pointe Homeowners Association, said.

The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD) confirms the case is now in the hands of the courts - specifically the Madison County Youth Court.

Oh how sad that a wayward child would kill an innocent goat and leave the other alone for life. I am tired of these wayward children. I am really sad to say that many are future Parchman inmates and many parents in this county are in denial about their children.
