Jungle Jack Hanna Coming to Jackson

Frequent readers of this Blog know that sometimes I like to report interesting information from outside our Reservoir community.  Usually, it is simply interesting to me.  The Jackson Zoo is one of those things I like to keep in the minds of the readers.  This is mainly because I got so much enjoyment from the Zoo growing up, and I see that joy when I take my own children there.  Without question, the Jackson Zoo has issues, not the least of which are its continued existence.  One thing is for sure, though; it is not going down without a fight.

On March 13, 2014, the Jackson Zoo (through the Gertrude C. Ford Foundation) presents an Evening With Jungle Jack Hanna at the Jackson Convention Complex.  Jack Hanna Individual tickets are $100, and include dinner and a show.  You can reserve a table if you'd like.  A reserved table includes a VIP meet and greet.  The doors open at 6:15 p.m.; dinner starts at 6:45 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30 p.m.  You can get autographs after the show.

Jungle Jack is a Knoxville, Tennessee, native, and was Director of the Columbus Zoo from 1978 to 1993.  His many appearances on the David Letterman show propelled him to fame.  He also hosted a number of animal adventure shows from 1993 to 2011.  He presently hosts Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown.
