Nuisance Properties Being Dealt With

Prior to the Board meeting yesterday, the Planning Commission of the Office of Community Development met.  The agenda is provided below.  As you can see, the vast majority of the meeting focused on various nuisance properties around the County, including a number of them in the Reservoir area.  Some of the owners of the property showed at the meeting, most did not.  Those that showed indicated repairs were on the way.  Those that did not will be referred to the Justice Court.

Does this new policy cover cars parked in the street? I fill like I am on an obstacle road course some days in Hanover. I certainly want to be neighborly if your having company or a party but on a regular basis park in the garage or driveway and clear the street. Also, put a lid on you garbage cans, I am old and tired of picking of the debris from your trash.

OMG, I am so glad that you are not my neighbor.

If you litter all over the neighborhood and park in the street then the feeling is mutual. This week alone we have picked up a dirty diaper in our driveway, newspapers blown all over and about six houses down, garbage one day that dogs got into and pieces of paper all over lawn and our driveway. No you would not want to be my neighbor if you were the cause of this because I am ready to bag all of it and dump it on the doorstep of the culprit. There are a total of eleven of us who take care of our yards, property and trash and only one has managed to muck it all up for us. Go live in the country if you can't handle clean property.
