Latest on Water Levels-Updated (new information underlined)

According to the PRVWSD, discharge from the spillway will hold at 45,000 cfs for the next two days.  This is predicted to keep the Pearl River in Jackson at 35.0 feet on Thursday.  Friday, the National Weather Service is still predicting water levels of 35.5 feet. The Rez gage height is predicted to drop to 297.2 tomorrow, then rise to 298 on Saturday.

35 is better than 35.5. Much better.

Actually, the NWS is still calling for a crest of 35.5' at the Jackson gauge.

The information I received from PRVWSD may not be official. If the NWS is predicting 35.5 feet, I'd prepare for that.

Is there any online data that points to the 35 feet? Everything has stuck with 35.5. Where exactly did the 35 foot number from PRV come from?

that twin lakes proposal that was shot down is looking quite good right about now ;)

If I recall, it was considerably less expensive the the Corp's alternative, also.
