Update from PRVWSD on Water Situation

The PRVWSD will hold the current discharge of 45,000 cfs until the Pearl crests at the Spillway on Saturday morning.  The crest of the Pearl River at Highway 80 is being revised to 35.0 feet, down a half foot from earlier predictions. The Rez level will continue to drop until tomorrow morning.  Thereafter, the Rez will rise as water is stored in the lake to reduce peak flooding in Jackson.  Once the upriver peak reaches the Spillway, the PRVWSD will reduce the discharge.

Beware, rain is expected for Sunday night and Monday morning.
