Here is this week's Rez Update from the PRVWSD.  If you are not already signed up to receive these, email Cindy at cford@therez.ms, and get on it.

This week at the REZ:     May 7, 2014
·         Pepsi Pops is scheduled for Friday evening, May 9th at Old Trace Park.  Residents can expect increased traffic on Post Road and Rice Road during the event.
·         Barnett Reservoir Boat Show is this weekend, May 10th & 11th at the Madison Landing Boat Ramp.  Come out and see the latest offering in water recreation.  Admission is free!
·         The REZ tag presales have reached 205.  Only 95 more needed to complete our 300 goal.  Sign-up now if you haven’t already!
·         Dragon Boat Regatta is scheduled for next Saturday the 17th at Old Trace Park.
·         PRVWSD Board of Directors hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Thursday, May 15th.  Committee meetings are to be held Monday, May 12th.
·         BOATERS please continue to operate your craft with extra caution within the ongoing dredge project area.  The dredging operation spans from Pelahatchie Shore Park eastward to Forest Point Subdivision.  Dredge pipe lines are marked, but extra caution is recommended for all boaters within Pelahatchie Bay.
·         Barnett Reservoir Foundation is distributing petitions for signatures by registered voters of Rankin County that live on PRVWSD property.  House Bill 836, as signed by the Governor, allows the registered voters of Rankin County, who live or reside on Pearl River Valley Water Supply District (PRVWSD) leasehold property the right to petition for a referendum to allow PRVWSD lands in Rankin County to qualify for Resort Status under Mississippi law.   Upon collection of certified signatures from 20% of the electorate, the Rankin County Board of Supervisors will authorize a referendum vote on the petition.  For more information  or to download petition visit:  http://barnettreservoirfoundation.org/resort-area-petition-drive-underway

And if it's pouring rain? Is there a rainout day for Pepsi Pops?
