Where to Catch Fireworks Displays

Here is your one stop shop for where to watch firework displays.  If you have information about other fireworks shows, please let me know.

Saturday, June 28 -- Barnett Reservoir Foundation Independence Day Celebration.  9:30 p.m. at either Old Trace Park in Ridgeland, or Lakeshore Park in Rankin County. Better yet, hop on a boat and catch them both in the middle of the water.

Monday, June 30 -- Fireworks at Mississippi State Hospital, Whitfield, Mississippi.  Friends of Mississippi State Hospital is hosting an Independence Day fireworks show.  "This show is a great opportunity for people to not only get out and enjoy a night of food, fun, and fireworks," said Joel Ross, President of Friends of MSH.  Games and activities will begin at 7 p.m., and fireworks will begin at 9 p.m.

Wednesday, July 2 -- City of Brandon Tribute to God and Country at Shiloh Park beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Fireworks at 9 p.m.  Brandon Baptist, First Baptist of Brandon, Grace Baptist and Oakdale Baptist are providing the music, so you know it will be good.

Thursday, July 3 -- Independence Day Celebration at Trustmark Park following the Mississippi Braves v. Huntsville Rockets game.  A supersized fireworks show sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Mississippi, Clear Channel Radio and WAPT.

Thursday, July 3 -- The City of Jackson's 1st Annual Fireworks Extravaganza at Smith Wills Stadium.  The fun starts at 5 p.m. and goes to 9 p.m.  The event will feature a 20-minute fireworks display and entertainment for children and adults, including live music and space jumps. Food and crafts vendors also will be on site.

Friday, July 4 -- Celebrate America Balloon Glow and Fireworks Display at Northpark Mall in Ridgeland. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.  More information here.

Friday, July 4 -- Madison the City is having 9 p.m. fireworks at Liberty Park

Saturday, July 5 -- Canton Balloon Glow and Patriotic Fireworks Spectacular at the Multipurpose Pavillion in Canton, done in conjunction with the Mississippi Championship Balloon Festival.
