McDaniel is Denied (Again) in Rankin County

Senator Cochran won the June 24, 2014, runoff statewide by 7,600 votes.  It was a hard fought race and close down to the wire.  To date, Chris McDaniel has not conceded and, in fact, continues to hint he may challenge the election.  In an effort to gather evidence, McDaniel filed suit against a hand full of Circuit Clerks throughout the State, including, oddly enough, Rankin County's own, Becky Boyd.

Senator Cochran carried Rankin County by over 1,500 votes on June 24, 2014.  These are salt-of-the-earth Republicans.  As far as I know, there has not been a whiff of alleged impropriety leveled against the Rankin County campaign (in part because there aren't enough Democrats in Rankin County to make much of a cross-over difference).

McDaniel desires to view the Rankin County poll books in their original form.  Circuit Clerk Boyd argued State law requires her to redact certain personal information, like social security numbers, telephone numbers, birthdates, etc. Redacting takes time, a commodity McDaniel doesn't have if he's going to file a legitimate challenge.  The Mississippi Supreme Court previously rejected McDaniel's claims insofar as they related to the Harrison County Circuit Clerk.  Today, Rankin County Circuit Judge William Chapman, entered his Order Denying Petition for Mandamus.  That Order is below.

A poll worker can look at the information all day long but a private citizen under supervision can not view the records give me a break it called stone walling at all cost to keep the status quo

I don't understand why the Cochran camp isn't interested in making sure the election process isn't as honest as it can be. Maybe they really do have some things to hide.

I don't want private citizens having full reign to look at my personal information. Especially these nut job Tea Party folks. Chris McDaniel, please concede and save what little shred of pride you have left.

I don't have a lot of trust in someone whose minions were caught several times doing things that they shouldn't have been doing. He just needs to go!

I'm not a TEA party NUT, I'm a freedom loving equal justice TRUTH type of guy! So those who claim to be all knowing and use name calling as their method to hide from the TRUTH. It would take me two days to copy and black out, with a sharpe, all the information that is private, like just the SS number. You can purchase voter list from the county and you can view the tax records online. It's public information and available to any one. So what's the issue. The issue is there was wrong doing by the established republican party in the state. That's the reason I no longer give of my money or time to their causes. I stand now for finding the TRUTH. I question Thad's TRUTH about the run off. Be blind and follow those who have self interest not your interest at heart. So some one like an attorney can't be trusted to review the information to gather the data needed to determine the TRUTH. Please I pray for you all who are blind! THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE! What I want to be is truly free and not live a lie as we do now! Today is as free as you will be unless WE change the direction we are heading. Our founders and our past family were freer than we are today! Self reliance is the key to our future not group speak!

I don't know why some of these disrespectful comments are being approved. If comments that refer to others as "tea party nuts" and "nut jobs" are allowed here, it isn't the blog I thought it was. Or that it used to be.

I agree! Mr. Jim McDowell at least tried to keep the name calling and personal attacks under control.

Guess it is a free-for-all now where the "nutjobs" can call anyone who they don't agree with names and launch personal attacks.

Sad that his memory and hard work has come to this.

If and when Furher McDaniel gets his evidence together, he has to submit it to the State Excutive Committee of the Republican party.
After their review and vote the GOP will decide if it is OVER!!
