Fixing Leak in the Dam

Curious about the work being conducted on the Rankin County side of the spillway dam?  The PRVWSD is fixing a leak in the dam.  According to the WAPT story:

Reservoir manager John Sigman said crews discovered the leak in the dam more than four years ago.
The leak in the dam, which is about 1,500 feet east of the spillway, had started to leave sand in the water and that is what concerned engineers. Left unattended, it could eventually start eroding the interior of the dam, causing big problems.

Check out the full story here.

The cost to fix the leak is $600,000.00.
