Bonny Blair's Makes a Bold Move

Bonny Blair's went smoke-free as of September 8. I don't mind saying it, good for them.

From their Facebook page:

So far, in the comments section of their Facebook page, only one person had rather stop patronizing Bonny Blair's altogether than step outside to smoke. The rest of the comments have been positive. What say you?

We waled in the place one night and the stench from smoke was so bad that we wheeled around and left. Maybe we'll try them again. As for whoever said they'd quit patronizing the place, the expression "...and the horse you rode in on" comes to mind.

YEAH! I had quit eating there long ago because of the stench and the smoke clouds! Think I will plan supper there to see if the air has cleared!

Good news. We love their food and the personality of the servers. Smoke free makes it that much better.

I walked in ONE TIME and the smoke was so bad I left. That was about a year ago. I will try again if the smoke scent is not glued to the walls. I will walk again if this is the case.

I usually don't mind a smoky environment, I smoked for 38 years before quitting 8 years ago. But I couldn't handle Bonnie Blairs at all on busy nights. Maybe they needed to change their air filter or something but it was horrible!

Still, I am glad it was them that made the decision, not some new law forcing them to do it.

Last time I was there my tab was $30 and I left a $10 tip, as did my friend. We were planning to go tomorrow again-not now.

I am glad for them and their patrons. I wish a few others would follow. I love Pelahatchie Bay breakfast but turn green the moment I inhale the smoke. I believe smokers have rights and feel for them but I quit years ago and don't want to inhale it anymore! I can't enjoy breakfast there.
