Below is a video taken at Lakeshore Park at the Rez on or about September 8.  Enjoy that new sand beach.

Okay, maybe it's me but I am always surprised when people from here act surprised about the alligators in the reservoir. Heeeellooo, don't swim with alligators. It is simple. I saw there were alligators in the reservoir when we moved here 12 years ago and knew we would never swim in it.

Having lived at the Rez for over 20 years I know all too well about the numerous Alligators in the waters. We all know that doga weighing as much as 130 pounds have been snatched and eaten by them. So why on earth would some bright spark think building beaches in the parks is a "great", idea? I won't let my dog swim in there but apparently humans can. This is a disaster waiting to happen.

OMG! NO! Not an alligator in the Rez! Call the Navy in we must rid this water of this new, and unprovoked invasion!

I think it'd be ok to swim there, the alligators seemed to stay outside the buoyed swimming area. Your golden.

I have had some friends tell me that they boat, swim, and ski in it as much as they can as alligators are only in the river area and Pelahatchie area (not deep water). I have also had several friends who swear to see them in the deep water areas. LOL, I guess it is a personal choice. I love boating but just won't swim here.
