I would like to know why he decided to step down and what the process is for a replacement

Mr. Brown's health has declined over the past few months. He's missed quite a number of board meetings as a result of his declining health.

medical reasons. Didn't want to be like Doug Anderson. Seriously.

I believe the Board is currently wrangling over whether to appoint an interim who agrees not to run for the position once the election is held.

I hope he gets to rest comfortably and keeps his health up.
" 'It is too late in the year to hold a special election, so the next step is for the board to appoint someone to fill the vacancy until supervisors go up for re-election in 2015,' according to Board Attorney Craig Slay."

I wish Wood Brown a road back to health. He was a great friend to my husband especially during my husband's illness. Wood is a good Christian and friend. God bless, Vicki McDowell

I'm hearing they like Randy Journeay

Randy would be a very interesting choice for interim. I can't imagine a man with his money would want to run for the position next year, but he is a good person to fill out the term!

Ok Supes, bring Randy in and ask him the questions you need answered. I don't think he will be on either side other than the people of#2.

Troy, Surely you have an update for us regarding the Dist. 2 seat??

No update. We are still in the same situation we were on September 29, 2014. District 2 still has no supervisor looking out for the interests of its citizens. Every time I talk to a person in the know, the names change, new ones emerge, old ones disappear. As far as I know, there is still an agreement between the remaining four supervisors to appoint an interim who will execute an agreement not to run; they just need to find one palatable to both sides of this power struggle.
