Resort Status Vote. Every Vote Counts!

The vote for the PRVWSD Resort Status is Tuesday, September 23.  As seen by the banner above, the Barnett Reservoir Foundation encourages you to vote for it.  Here is all you need to know about the vote:

There is only one polling place: the Reservoir Community Center on Spillway Road.  It shares a parking lot with the Reservoir Fire Department, Reservoir Branch Library, and Botanical Garden Trail.

The polls open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, and close at 7 p.m. that same day.

Only individuals who live on PRVWSD leasehold land are eligible to vote.  Everyone else, your fate rests with the leaseholders.  If you aren't sure whether you live on leasehold property or not, consult this map.

If you have any doubt whether your vote will count, read this article from Pontotoc, Mississippi, about a recent liquor vote.  No matter where you fall on this issue, your vote counts.

Majority wins.

That's all you need to know.  If there are other things you want to know, read the FAQ section on the Gator Tales at this post.  There, you will find answers to such questions as:  Does this mean there will be a liquor store on every corner? (the answer to that is there will continue to be no liquor stores on any corner).

i saw McLain Lodge which is not near the district land included in a earlier version. Good idea for the events and high fence critter harvesting type business. Guess it is a unpublished deal?
