More Fun Stuff

There are plenty of alternatives to good old fashioned door-to-door trick-or-treating. The City of Flowood offers Kids Night Out on the evening of October 31.  From 5:30 p.m. til 8:00 p.m., out at Liberty Park (behind the Flowood YMCA), there will be jumpies, candy, games, etc. This is free to all.

The day before Halloween, the City of Ridgeland hosts Trunk of Treat at Freedom Park. From the city's Parks and Rec website:  Carnival games, face painting, and lots of treats! Volunteers make this event a smashing success by manning decorated vehicles with trunks full of treats and offering fun activities. Costumed children trick-or-treat from vehicle to vehicle and have an evening to remember. This event is reserved for children ages 10 and under with $3 admission per child. If your organization or business would like to volunteer at this event, contact Wendy Bourdin, special events coordinator, at 601-853-2011.
