McCrory Resigns From School Board

Cecil McCrory resigned today from the Rankin County School Board, for reasons unknown to me, or to the Clarion Ledger.  See the C-L's article about it, here.  Kingfish has a bit more.

Keefe commissary is a associated company with Cecil and when you do a google it's all over the Rankin County Jail system!

Wait. McCrory and Farmer are the Tea Party Rich Guys posing as bumpkins who built the big Brandon High School but shot down the school bond bill to relieve overcrowding. The two guys spewing venom at the other professionals, who pretend they aren't millionaires off of Government contracts and tax breaks and subsidies. The typical Tea Party guys who are either in trouble with the IRS or screeching " My Taxes is Too High" while they make millions off government. Time for a Flowood School District. Our tax money subsidizes the McCrory-Farmer contingent who shoots down new school buildings while enriching their alma mater AND themselves, apparently. How convenient that McCrory resigned an HOUR after Farmer his buddy was re-elected. Recall Grumpy Farmer too, Brandon. Flowood/Reservoir District needs to happen, Mayor Rhodes/John Sigman.

My first experience with Cecil and Grumpy was when my area I lived in at the time that was in RCSD was ceded to Pearl School district. My neighbors and I were very vocal about not wanting that to happen. During our time with the board, Cecil and Grumpy were very condescending to us. When we pointed out that Cecil had a zoning issue with Pearl for one of his businesses and that we thought it was a conflict of interest, it was pointed out to us that we didn't know what we were talking about. We threatened to take it to the Ethics Commissission and in hindsight we should have. Looks like his cozy, good old boy relationships is his mode of operation for his benefit. Makes you wonder what RCSD contracts and spending were also done for his benefit.
They do sell themselves to average Joe voter as they are just the little guy trying to make things better. Sad thing is that the voters fall for it.
7:26, you are right about their decisions on the board only enrich their alma mater. I don't know what they have against the NWR zone, but I can guarantee you that if any vote before the RCSD board is to benefit NWR, they will shoot it down or water it down so that Brandon gets part of it. NWR does need to break away from RCSD. The kids in NWR and their teachers no longer need to be shackled by these morons. Give them what they need to excel!

Concur. The RCSD is such a dumpster fire the the NWR zone needs to become the Flowood/Rez District. It would be interesting to see the tax dollars coming out of the NWR zone in relation to the other zones in the district.

There is no reason MWR shouldn't look like Germantown High School. Think what that would do to property values. Instead NWR looks like it belongs in the inner city of Jacskon.

Governor Bryant has ordered all contracts with MDOC be re-bid. will the County Jails systems do the same?

How about all the contracts that RCSD entered with McCrory on the board? Are we to assume he could keep his corruptness solely to MDOC? I think everything he was involved with should be audited. Scum!

This story is just beginning. The ONLY way Epps and McCrory avoid maximum jail time is to start naming names, including a few associated with the Rankin County Sheriff's Office. I find it suspicious that the Gov.'s office was not aware of this activity, as it has been going on for several years.
