Good Luck to Rankin County Students in Mock Trial Competition

High School Mock Trial Regionals, sponsored by the Mississippi Bar Association, are this weekend in Jackson, Mississippi.  Rankin County is blessed to have two teams competing in the finals, both from Brandon High School.

Teachers Lady Baker and Sarah Printz are the teams' co-sponsors.  Judge Kent McDaniel is the attorney coach.  The students competing in this event are Morgan Mundy, Jake Mullins, Caleb McClain, Ben Kaminsky, Leann Ward, Hannah Nolan, Matt McCurley, Will Brown, Brandon Norton, Chase Baker, Sarah David, and Haley Templeton. Caleb McClain is actually a student at Northwest Rankin High School, but was allowed to compete on Brandon's team since Northwest doesn't field a team.

If you know any of these students, please congratulate and encourage them.  Regionals are held at Mississippi College Law School, and they begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The faculty sponsors want to emphasize that each of the above students are accomplished in ways above and beyond the work they put in for this competition.  They also thank Judge McDaniel for all the many hours he spent with the kids getting them competition ready!
