Lock Your Car Doors at Night

Here is the latest batch of individuals intelligent enough to commit crimes in Rankin County.  Four Rankin County youths were recently arrested for a series of auto burglaries.  Dillon Lewis, Parker Austin Gousset, LaJonathan Jaderius Davis, and an unnamed 16 year old youth were taken into custody for burglaries in the Waterwood, Hidden Hills, and Bellegrove Subdivisions.

Per MS News Now:

The Rankin County Sheriff's Department has arrested four people and charged them in at least 14 automobile burglaries. 

. . . [I]nvestigators arrested a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with an automobile burglary where the victim's credit card was used. The juvenile confessed to a total of five automobile burglaries over the past two months. 

. . . Investigators and Reservoir Police were able to develop a suspect vehicle description. A vehicle matching that description was spotted early Sunday morning, and two suspects, 23-year-old Dillon Ellis Lewis and 18-year-old Parker Austin Gousset were taken into custody. Two stolen firearms were found in the vehicle.

In all the burglaries, the vehicles were left unlocked. The items stolen included money, weapons, prescription drugs, clothing and electronics.
