PRVWSD Seeks Volunteers to Improve Habitat

The PRVWSD has worked over at least the past couple of years to improve the wildlife habitat quality on its managed timberland.  This weekend, in conjunction with Keep the Rez Beautiful, the PRVWSD will be planting fruit and nut trees, and they need volunteers.  See the email below from Craig Hunt, chunt@therez.ms.

Keep the Reservoir Beautiful has donated funding for the purchase of fruit and nut trees that will be planted in hunting and recreational areas  to enhance wildlife habitat.  We have ordered 175 trees and need to get these in the ground quickly for good survival rates.  We are seeking assistance in planting next Saturday, March 14th.  If you are able to help, please let me know as soon as possible.  Volunteers are asked to bring their own shovels or spades, etc…and be ready to walk the woods.

We will meet at the Reservoir Maintenance Complex located at 100 Reservoir Park Road at 9AM.

Thanks for your time,

Craig
