Parks Policy Committee Recommends Usage Fee Be Rescinded

See the below press release from the PRVWSD.  Bear in mind this simply means the Parks Policy Committee recommends the user fee be rescinded. It still must be voted on by the Board.

This is an extraordinarily bad move and one that I hope is not endorsed at the regular PRV board meeting. It's all fine and well to say, "well, see, we listened to the public...blah blah." No, you are letting the fleas on the tail wag the dog. People who object to paying a user fee can just take their boats elsewhere. Those who have an interest in maintaining the esthetics and safety of the reservoir have NO problem paying this fee.

I agree, I don't live on the Reservoir, but my family and I have a boat that we enjoy taking out regularly! I have NO problem paying a fee to ensure that we are able to continue enjoying our boat outings on the Rez.

If you can afford a boat, you can afford the small nominal fee being asked for here. Good grief!

I agree with all of the above. This is the only lake in the state where you are not charged a fee for boating. I would gladly pay $100 for a permit
