House Fire in Castlewooods

Last night, around 9:30 p.m., the house at 178 Apple Blossom Drive burned to the ground.  The fire, which apparently began in the garage, spread throughout the structure, eventually engulfing everything, destroying everything, including the residents' cars.  Nothing is salvageable according to the Flowood Chamber of Commerce, which sent out the below email:

Last night, around 9:30pm, Libby and Tony Sims' house caught fire.  The fire started in the garage and quickly spread throughout the entire house.  Luckily, they were all able to get out and no one was injured. As far as we can tell nothing is salvageable, including both cars.   As always, in tragic situations the Chamber of Flowood family pulls together to help one another.  In this case, our own employee.
Please keep the Sims family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. If you are wanting to help we are asking for gift cards to be dropped off at the Chamber office.  We have also set up an account to help offset the cost of them getting back on their feet.  The account is in the names of "Sims Benefit Fund."  Donations can be made at any Community Bank location.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
