What makes you the best candidate in your particular race?
Experience.  I am the only candidate with experience as a judge.  I was elected in 1999, re-elected every four years thereafter, and I am currently the senior Rankin County Justice Court Judge.  I strive every day to ensure that Rankin County keeps the reputation of having the best justice court in Mississippi.  While serving as a Rankin County Justice Court Judge, I was selected by a Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court to serve on the Commission on Judicial Performance, an agency that investigates allegations of misconduct by a judge.   I was appointed to the Commission in 2004 and then reappointed in 2008.   From 2004 - 2012, while serving on the Commission, I reviewed judicial misconduct allegations, presided over hearings, and made recommendations to the Mississippi Supreme Court that included removal of a judge from office.

What is one thing voters should know about you before going to the polls?
I was elected in 1999, re-elected every four years thereafter, and I am currently the senior Rankin County Justice Court Judge.  Rankin County has the best justice court in Mississippi and I want to ensure that the reputation continues.  If re-elected, I will continue to make decisions based on the law and the facts and NOT based on politics.  I may be contacted at 601-992-8589.

In your opinion what is the single most crucial issue facing Rankin County?
Keeping our crime rate low by ensuring that convicted criminals are held accountable for their actions.

Have you ever run for or held public office before?
Yes.  I was Rankin County Prosecutor and in 1999, I was elected Rankin County Justice Court Judge.  I was re-elected Rankin County Justice Court Judge in 2003, 2007, and 2011.

What jobs/experiences have you had that you feel qualify you for political office?
I am the current Rankin County Justice Court Judge.  The voters have expressed their confidence in me by electing me as Rankin County Justice Court Judge in 1999, and re-electing me in 2003, 2007, and 2011.

What historical figure (dead or alive) inspires you most and why?

Jesus inspires me.  Jesus was persecuted and crucified so that we may all have everlasting life.
