CSpire Fiber to the Home Coming to the Rez?

You have likely heard the hype about CSpire's "Fiber to the Home" product, which is promoted at 100x faster than the national average internet speed, unlimited bandwith, with a step up in quality over Uverse and/or Comcast, etc., etc.

Presently, Fiber to the Home is available only in Clinton, Corinth, Flora, Jackson, Ridgeland, Quitman, Starkville, Madison the City and portions of Madison the County.  Apparently, you pay $10 to preregister for it.  Once enough people in the area preregister, CSpire will then lay the infrastructure and fiber.

Rankin County Supervisors are meeting right now with CSpire representatives concerning Fiber to the Home in the Reservoir/Flowood area.  Does any readers have it, or know someone that does?  If so, tell us about it from a consumer's prospective (in the comments section).

The PRVWSD recently signed a franchise agreement with CSpire for all of PRVWSD's property. CSpire has not provided an estimated date for pre-registration on PRVWSD leasehold land.

My parents have it in Starkville and it's fantastic. If they lay it down out there, I'm absolutely getting it. Half our subdivision can't get Uverse and Comcast is horrendous for them. Those of us with Uverse like it well enough, but it's getting damn expensive to have internet fast enough to keep up with all the demands in an average household now. Uverse supposedly has fiber to the home that is supposed to be rolling out in the future, but who knows.

Hopefully it's coming sooner rather than later

If I understand correctly from those "who know", even though U-verse (AT&T) sells their service as fiber optics, it's still traveling on a phone wire and converted to fiber to your residence. And the phone wire still restricts the flow of service, if I'm saying that correctly. A true fiber service would be great. What would be MOST great is if with 1 (ONE) wire, you could get internet, phone, & T.V. service. (NO MORE STUPID DISHES)
BTW if anyone from Cspire is reading this, I will also change my cell phone service too.And for folks that don't already know, AT&T just bought Direct tv.

In one of the old neighborhoods too, and we'd do anything around here to get away from Comcast.

Fiber to the home is the only way to go. Glad to see it coming. Progressive communities around the country have been installing this capability for years are are happy with the economic development benefits. Is anyone aware of the customer satisfaction so far with the CSpire product?

Is there anything happening between PRVWSD and CSpire Fiber? We desperately need this service and the last I heard was that PRV was not going to allow CSpire to come in, citing that PRV must receive payment from the utility in order to allow their servicing our area.

I asked PRVWSD about the status. They say the agreement with CSpire has been struck. The ball is now in CSpire's court. CSpire should be determining interest in the various neighborhoods in the PRVWSD area, surveying same, and finally, installing the necessary infrastructure. Eventually, I imagine CSpire will allow you to pre-register online.

Thanks Troy. Hope it is sooner than later:)

I'm in the Reservoir East area off Holly Bush. Currently there are a very large number of people out here very dissatisfied with AT&T and Comcast. We dearly would love for Cspire to service our area as well. We understand at this time that the Rankin County board and Cspire cannot come to an agreement with contracts. Any news you could share with us? Thanks.

Please read and follow the instructions to submit your address for consideration for C Spire's Fiber 2 Home service. The more people that do this, the more likely they are to enter our market.
IF WE ALL DO THIS WE CAN GET THIS INCREDIBLE SERVICE TO OUR AREA.
Recently Brandon was accepted by CSpire to bring Fiber to the city, this doesn't seem to include us on the Reservoir side. I was hoping enough people would follow the link I am about to provide to let CSpire know we want it as well. It is way faster and, in my case at least cheaper, than cable internet. I have a home business so I have been watching it for a long time waiting. If you are interested in it being offered in our area also please take the time to let them know with this link. https://www.cspire.com/home-services/packages/pricing/…#- After you click on the link if you put in your address it will say it is not recognized and you will see blue writing saying you can submit your address, if you click that you can type in your info to let them know your interested once enough of us say we are interested they will open up in our area. Thank you.

Signs up at Eagles Nest that indicate residents on that cul-de-sac are getting it (last subdivision on Spillway Rd before reaching 471).
It's available for us at our office in commercial/office area off Grants Ferry down to Spillway Rd.
