Latest on Boil Water Notice

Here is the latest media release (7:18 p.m. on October 12) from PRVWSD concerning the water line break and boil water notice:

Repair to Water Line Completed
Boil Water Notice Issued

The Pearl River Valley Water Supply District on Monday, 12 October, experienced a major water line break on the Pelahatchie Bay water system. Repairs to this break are in final stage of completion. Water pressure should return to normal shortly. ONLY the following subdivisions experienced a significant decrease in water pressure that resulted in boil water notice:

Audubon Point Beaver Run
Glen Cove Arrowhead
Paradise Point Forest Point
Sunrise Point Turtle Creek
Hanover Eagles Point
Waterwood Pine Ridge
Cliffview Bay Pointe
Pelahatchie Woods
Bridgetowne

This boil water notice will be in effect for at least 48 hours, or until PRVWSD officials receive two consecutive days of clear sampling.

The Mississippi State Department of Health has been notified of the situation.
