Goofy Golf Returns to Flowood

The putt-putt golf course next to High Heaven and Seasons will re-open.  WLBT ran a good story on its www.msnewsnow.com website discussing current renovations.  From the article:

[Owner John] Wood said he's supervising the remodel himself, which includes replacing the greens, painting rocks that line a man-made stream and, perhaps the largest undertaking: repairing the pumps for the water system that includes multiple waterfalls and fountains.
Because of the steady flow of traffic from High Heaven -- an indoor trampoline park that opened last year -- Wood said he's had people asking him about the golf course often.

[The go-kart track will not return.]  Still, [Woods] wants to use the property for children's parties and other events they plan to provide.
"I'm gonna remove all the tires and the metal from the go-kart track, put a trampoline, swing set and some basketball goals out there in a big mulch pit, and we'll have some outdoor play for children," Wood said.

Great to see recreation options returning. My one unsolicited suggestion would be lots of trees. That course was always incredibly hot in the summer - too hot to enjoy playing. I hope Mr. Wood has continued success with his ventures.

YAY! Glad to see it coming back -- our kids need things to do this summer. Plus, it was quite the eye sore!!
