-- RCSD sues property insurance providers. The School District is suing a couple of their insurance providers for allegedly failing to pay certain claims related to the 2013 hailstorm.
-- Stand off ends with arrests of two drive-by shooting suspects. Further info on that Sunday evening shooting in the Pinebrook subdivision.
-- Reservoir Fire district petitions supervisor to enlarge district. Public hearing set for Friday, April 15, at 9 a.m., on whether to increase the size of the Rez fire district to include parts of Old Fannin Road (to Bridlewood and Barnett Bend), Holly Bush Road, and Reservoir East. Rez Fire Chief Scott Berry says, "If these areas were brought into the Reservoir Fire District, it would have a drastic effect on their insurance rates [in a good way]."
-- PRV sells timber due to beetles. Approximately 100 trees sold along Spillway Road as the result of pine bark beetle infestation. PRVWSD nets $451.
-- PRVWSD dump truck collides with tractor-trailer. It happened last Thursday at the intersection of Mt. Helm Road and Highway 25; three injured, but, thankfully, none life threatening.
-- Josh Turner to headline Flowood Fest.
-- MDWFP studies black bass on Ross Barnett Reservoir. The Department tagged approximately 500 tournament released bass. Fishermen who catch them are encouraged to call 601.432.2212 and provide the tag number, location, etc.
