A few readers have asked whether the County will move door-to-door trick or treating to the evening of Saturday, October 29, rather than Monday, October 31, 2016. Short answer is "no".
The County and its various municipalities do not set alternate dates for trick-or-treating. Your respective neighborhood associations wield a different power in that regard, and they may recommend an alternate date. This has occurred in the past, but not this year.
My neighborhood (Mill Creek) is trick-or-treating on Monday evening. Avalon, Hidden Hills, Farmington Station, Castlewoods, etc., all Monday night. I've heard of no neighborhood that is changing that line up.
Don't forget about your Rez area alternative: the City of Flowood hosts it's big Kids Night Out on Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Liberty Park (behind the Flowood YMCA).
If your church will also have an alternative that night, let us know in the comments.
