Sunset Concert Series prepares for final 2 shows
Dual artists on Lakeshore Park stage on May 18 and June 1

The Barnett Reservoir Foundation’s first Sunset Concert Series will resume on May 18 featuring two popular local artists sharing the Lakeshore Park Stage beginning at 6 p.m.

Guitar phenom/songwriter Barry Leach of Brandon and second-generation entertainer and keyboardist Andrew Pates of Madison will combine their talents for what promises to be an entertaining evening.

The Foundation also announced that it has been able to keep Chris Gill on the schedule, after his original show on June 4 was postponed due to weather. The guitarist and front man for the popular local group Chris Gill and the Sole Shakers will join Hattiesburg native Lisa Mills for a show on June 1 that will close the spring season.

“We’re excited that Chris and Lisa have agreed to share the night, and we’ll start the show a little early at 5:30 and close a little later to accommodate them,” said Foundation Sunset Series coordinator Jeff Roberts. “Having Chris open that evening with Lisa at the end gives us a great show to end our first series. We’re excited about both of these two final shows.”

The Crawfish King of Flowood sponsored the Sunset Concert Series and will continue to sell crawfish and shrimp at the final two shows. The Foundation will sell beverages, hot dogs, nachos and popcorn. No outside food or drink is allowed.

Admission is $5 per car, but cars with a Reservoir tag get in free. Walk-ups or bikers pay only $1.
