PRVWSD Board of Directors Minutes for May 2017

Below are the minutes from the PRVWSD Board of Director minutes for May, 2017.  Highlights include:

  - New software for the Rez Police Department.
  - The plan of action for relieving the spillway landings of litter is outlined: "it will be peer pressure from other fishermen that will keep the litter in check. Those that do not want to see the area closed will help with policing the other users and remind them to dispose of their litter properly so that all do not suffer from the actions of a few."
  - Approval for a dog park at Lakeshore Park obtained: "The . . . group has already collected the funds necessary to begin the development of the park . . . ."
  - Look for lighting improvements at Timberlake Campground.
  - Discussion of short term vacation rentals initiated, but tabled for further discussion.
  - Neel Schaffer Engineering awarded the engineering services contract for the badly needed overlay of the upper spillway road.
  - Bobby Cleveland's contract was approved for fiscal year 2018.  While I'm sure the contract was provided at the meeting, the online copy of the minutes did not have it attached.
  - A late addition to the agenda was approval of an interlocal agreement with West Rankin Utility Authority for sewage service for an 118 acre development on the Northshore (not on PRVWSD land). The agreement was approved, but not without dissension.
  - Finally, there is a need for master electrician services.  The job will be bid.
