Rez Articles in Rankin County News

This week's Rankin County News has the following items of interest to Reservoir residents:

 - Supervisor Daniel Cross, District 2, was appointed President of the Rankin County Board of Supervisors.

 - Rankin murder suspect pleads guilty to charges in Kansas.  Alex Bridges Deaton, whose nationwide murder romp began in Rankin County, pleaded guilty guilty to one count of attempted murder and one count of aggravated robbery in Kansas.

 - There is a nice spread of photos from the Millcreek July 4 Parade.

  - NWR Cougar football camp nears.  July 24-26, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at NWR Cougar Stadium. Registration is $80, and includes food, drink and a tshirt.  Registration is open for grades K-7.

 - Revamped Refuge Golf Course in the works.  The Refuge Golf Course will be closed for 18 months for redesigning and refurbishing.  A number 9 hole that ends at the clubhouse, perhaps?

Anyone know what is being built on Flowood Drive in front of the Laurelwood entrance (behind Lowes)? Looks like a fast food place. Just curious.

Supposedly the owner of Grant's Kitchen off of Lakeland is opening a restaurant or steakhouse there.
