PRVWSD Board Minutes for September 2017

Below are the PRVWSD Board of Directors Minutes for the September 21, 2017, meeting.  Highlights include:

  - Nick Trees is coming back to the open lot across between Baptist and Reservoir Square Center (across from Fred's).  Some proceeds go to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital.

  - Resurfacing of upper Spillway Road is moving toward fruition.  Grant money is close to being in hand for the project.  Advertisement for bids for the project was approved.

  - Shaggy's on the Rez, LLC, was the sole bidder for the parcel at Rankin Ramp/Rankin Landing.  Their bid was approved.  Look for construction soon.

  - PRVWSD will now consult with the Mississippi Development Authority on how to best market commercial properties.

  - Squirrel hunting is now allowed below the Spillway during certain times and under certain restrictions, i.e., youth hunting only.

  - Three comfort stations are coming to PRVWSD properties, namely Coal Bluff Campground, Old Trace Park and Lakeshore Park, at a total price of $377,800.00.

  - The Board changed the Park Usage Fee and Alcohol Sales Permit policies to reflect that the Board may waive usage fees and alcohol permit fees if the participating group provides labor to the District or other in-kind services, such as clean up as a public service.

  - The water billing changes detailed in yesterday's post were adopted.

  - Reservoir Police obtained a grant in the amount of $8,000.00 for long term storage of vehicle camera and audio files.

  - New Board Officers were voted on.  Jennifer Hall is the new President, Billy Cook is the V.P., Phillip Crosby is the Secretary, Cindy Ford is Assistant Secretary, and Susan McMullan is Treasurer.
