MEDIA RELEASE
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Reservoir Foundation Boat Show April 28-29
All types of watercraft on display at Rankin County Landing

The Barnett Reservoir Foundation will sponsor its 5th annual Boat Show April 28-29 at the Rankin County Landing on the east end of the dam at The Rez.

Show hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. There is no admission fee, and the public is invited to view the latest models of watercraft all in one place with a great view of Barnett Reservoir.

“This is a great way for prospective boat buyers to view and compare the latest in watercraft, at a single location,” said Dale Shepherd, President of the Barnett Reservoir Foundation and boat show coordinator. “It’s also pretty great that it all comes with views of the lake where a lot of those boats will be used.”

Participating dealers include:

RJ’s Outboards: Bennington pontoons; G-3, War Eagle and Skeeter fishing boats; plus Yamaha engines.

Smith Marine: Crest pontoons; Tige’ ski boats; Hurricane deck boats; plus Suzuki engines.

Sunset Marina: SeaRay pleasure boats; Lowe pontoon and fishing boats; BassCat fishing boats; and Mercury motors.

Main Harbor Store/SeaTow: boat rentals and supplies; on-water emergency
assistance.

Proceeds from the boat show benefit the Barnett Reservoir Foundation, a non-profit support group for the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District and the Barnett Reservoir business and residential community. Part of the revenue will be used to fund the 2018 Independence Celebration and Firework Show on June 30, and help with the long-term goal of building a playground at Lakeshore Park for youth with disabilities.
