Roadwork Continues on Bob Anthony Parkway

MEDIA RELEASE
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
May 31, 2018
Bob Anthony Parkway Resurfacing Project

The patching phase of overlay project for the upper road of Bob Anthony Parkway, also known as Spillway Road west bound across the Barnett Reservoir Dam, has been completed. The milling and overlay portion of the project is scheduled to begin the first week of June 2018.

This overlay phase of the project is expected to last approximately four weeks, weather permitting. The project is made possible by federal transportation grants administered through the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.

While lane closures will be necessary each weekday, no closures will take place during the morning commute hours of 7 to 9 a.m.

Drivers should plan ahead, expect delays, and remain vigilant. Please slow down, and respect the workers in the area.

For the latest information and pictures on this issue, and other activities at Barnett Reservoir, please check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PRVWSD.

There is absolutely NO reason for lane closures during the daytime. This work should be performed between the hours of 10 P.M. - 4 A.M.
These paving folks should get with the times and do things like they do in the BIG cities.

Whose brother in law got this contract? These patches are shoddy and dangerous. Anyone driving a motorcycle across the upper spillway would be putting their life in jeapordy. Is anyone inspecting the work?

What has happened to upper spillway?

The patch work is unacceptable.

Its so bad .... we are back to a single lane.

The right most lane is more like an off-road course.

Can we please have a Phase II and correct the patchwork?
