Stapleton Playing at Amphitheater

Chris Stapleton is playing the Brandon Amphitheater this Saturday.  Local legend, Marty Stuart, and Brent Cobb are his opening act.  The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and is expected to be the largest crowd yet for the new amphitheater.

Brittany and I have been to two shows so far at the amphitheater: Hank Williams, Jr., and Dave Matthews.  We enjoyed both shows, though the crowds were dramatically different in makeup.  The layout of the stadium is easy to get around, we never felt crowded.  The bathrooms are large and easy to get to -- and I never had to stand in line.  There were always plenty of folks working the concession stands, so we didn't have to wait for food or drink.  And, luckily, the weather cooperated for both shows.

My advice for Stapleton, get there early.  Take Marquette Road in from the East (Downtown Brandon side), as opposed to from the West (Crossgates).  Far fewer people enter from the East and it will be easier to leave from that way.  Get there early since there will be lines building at the security checkpoint.  Ladies, you can't bring your bag in unless it is see-through (or extra small).  Eighty percent chance of rain is forecast for Saturday evening, so bring your Frog Toggs.
