Busy Saturday at the Rez

You have plenty of options of things to do this Saturday at the Rez.

Shaggy's Kids Fishing Fest begins at 9 am at Lakeshore Park.

Community Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA) hosts their 11th Annual Dog Days of Summer Event at Pelahatchie Shore Park from 10 am to 3 pm.  From the website:
Join us for a day of fun and remember to bring your leashed pets. Voluntary admission is a bag of dog food for our precious shelter dogs.
We will have our pet parade with contests for your pups. A children's carnival ($5) and lunch by Outback and Pizza Shack. There will be live music, arts and crafts vendors plus a petting zoo. Other entertainment will include agility, training, & K9 demo units. Be sure to check out our Silent auction of unique items all donated to raise funds for CARA.

The music at Smokin' on the Rez starts at 3:30 p.m.  The headliners, Vince Vance and the Valients, start at 6:30 p.m.  However, if you want to head to Lakeshore Park earlier to try some BBQ, you are more than welcome.
